The DigiRawr site is launched! This is a momentous occasion for us, because we at DigiRawr have no idea how we were able to get away with being a web and graphics design company without actually have a website of our own. That would be tantamount to being a driving instructor that did not own a car. At last, after many revisions and feature expansions, we are proud to present the corporate website of DigiRawr.
While the DigiRawr site seems relatively simple enough, there are a lot of under-the-hood implementations that make the site cutting-edge. We use only W3-standards compliant HTML and CSS to ensure maximum compatibility between different browsers, save for small tidbits here and there to ensure compatibility with various versions of Internet Explorer*. There is no Flash in the entire site (this may change when we decide to add Flash examples in our Demos section) to keep the site fast and snappy, as all of our interaction-rich features are coded with Javascript.
All of our articles use key-word rich URLs, which are designated dynamically by us, which makes the URL much easier on the eyes for the viewer, such as "/news/DigiRawr-site-finally-launched-n1/" as opposed to the more common dynamically-generated pages such as "news.php?category=3&id=1," so when such pages show up on Google search results, viewers will have a better idea of what the page is about, and is therefore more likely to click on the link. This feature is vital for having search engine optimizations (SEO) for any site.
Many of our pages use
AJAX to load content dynamically only when it needs to be shown. This eases the load time required for users to view media-rich pages, as not everything needs to load right at the start. Most of our
portfolio section uses AJAX to give users a more seamless experience. Our articles and announcements section that you are currently viewing use AJAX for its commenting system.
The
request quote and
contact forms also utilize AJAX and Javascript for a more complete experience by eliminating awkward error-checking after a form has already been submitted; all error-checking is done right on the spot so viewers will know exactly which fields to fix.
Have a project proposal that you would like us to see?
Send us your ideas and goals, and we will return with an estimated quote! If you have any questions about DigiRawr, who we are, or what we do, please do not hesitate to
send us any questions!
*We did not include Internet Explorer 6 for proper viewing of the site, as the browser is so dated and broken that not even Youtube supports it.
